Commissions & Spreads
No commissions are fees are required for Markets.com trading, and the company offers a choice between floating and fixed spreads for Forex Trading. The spreads are fairly tight, with the typical spread for EUR/USD trading right around 2.2. Spreads are dependent on market volatility, though. More information about the spreads can be found here.
Ranked as the best FX Platform in 2012, Markets.com provides three main trading software packages for its customers. MetaTrader 4 (MT4) allows users to exchange all of the major Forex and CFD currency pairs with leverage of 200:1. It also offers at-best order execution, advanced technical analysis tools, and sophisticated charting.
SIRIX WebTrader is another one of their programs and is compatible with MT4. SIRIX WebTrader is more focused on global markets but also has a wide-range of trading tools available.
Like MT4, Market MobileTrader is Markets.com’s mobile trading software. It’s also designed for Forex and CFDs. It includes all the functionality of its other software, plus 24-hour availability from any mobile device capable of running the program.
If none of these software work for a user, Markets.com provides a host of other programs and platforms for users to select from.
Deposits & Withdrawals
Customers can deposit money many different ways, although the top four include credit and debit card authorizations, wire transfers, webmoney, and local payment options. Users are given more options upon signing up.
Debit and Credit card transfers can take up to 24 hours to complete, while wire transfers take 1-2 business days as per the receipt. However, users need to take precaution in depositing funds as withdrawn funds can only be transferred back to the account from which they were deposited.
To withdraw money, either scan a completed withdraw form and send it to the appropriate email address through Markets.com, or request a withdraw amount through the “Withdraw Funds” tab found in the user options.
As long as a customer says within the margin limits of their account, funds will usually clear and transfer within three business days of the receipt. All funds must be transferred to an account bearing the same name of the account holder.
Customer support is provided 24 hours a day, either by phone, email, or live chat. However, respond times vary depending on the time of day, the method of contact, and the level of account a customer owns.
Regulators & Safety
The Cyrpus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), the European Financial Union Services law under the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MFID), and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) all license and regulate the activities conducted by Markets.com. Additionally, all funds are transferred with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security measures and enhanced firewall support to ensure all information is encrypted and kept safe.
